Metal painting is a traditional craft that reveal the talent and imagination of the folk artists.
The first mention of metal painting goes back the 40-s of the XVIII century. It is associated with the Demidov’s metallurgical plants in Nizhny Tagil where the first painted iron trays appeared. They were called Tagil trays. The heart of the technique is flat brush painting; the main pattern is so called Tagil rose.
